Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role entail:

· Providing secretarial support to the team, including filing, faxing and photocopying and managing internal and external mail.

· Deal with queries and correspondence as required from various agencies.

· Support with registration of new patient referrals and clinic outcomes for all appointments.

· Ensure accurate patient records are maintained and prepare case notes for patients ahead of clinic appointments.

· Support with General Typing.

· Support the team with data entry, ordering of consumables, reporting and training.

· Provide cover to colleagues in the department.

Essential criteria

  • Good General Standard of Education (e.g. GCSE Maths and English A-C and above or equivalent).
  • Good I.T Skills and computer awareness including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • RSA/OCR Typing level 2 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of the Hospital I.T. Systems
  • Experience

  • Previous clerical/ office experience.
