Main duties of the job

The department has a high level of commitment to staff development. The individuals would be encouraged and supported to further themselves professionally in both clinical and non clinical aspects of the profession. Opportunities to study for a prescribing course, Advance clinical Practice MSc and to develop a teaching role supervising and training junior and pre-registration pharmacists, technicians and assistants as well as providing training and education for medical and nursing staff may be considered for the right candidate(s).

The successful candidates will be team players and possesses excellent interpersonal skills, strong prioritisation and time management skills enabling a safe, effective and efficient pharmaceutical service to the patients and the organisation.

On a case by case basis travel expenses may be available for interested individuals not from the area and who are travelling a significant distance if interested please contact us to discuss. Skype interviews may be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • MPharm degree or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Post graduate MSc/Diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience/ qualification
  • Desirable criteria

  • accredited/ eligible to be accredited as HEI Clinical Pharmacy Diploma/ MSc tutor
