It is the role of the Specialist Dental Nurse/ Implant Co-Ordinator to provide support to the lead clinician for oral rehabilitation of patients in the BCUHB region. The main areas of treatment include patients who require implant-retained prostheses or prosthesis for oral rehabilitation.

Skills and qualities will need to include:

  • Able to demonstrate effective communication skills working in partnership with patients
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication skills with colleagues
  • Possess IT skills to enable completion of IT functions commensurate to role
  • Required to travel to other hospitals within region
  • Evening clinic working
  • Experience working unsupervised under own initiative
  • Experience working within a team
  • The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly Monday to Friday and may be required to work on other sites belonging to the health board.
