Main duties of the job

The Evening & Overnight District Nursing Service work across Wrexham and Flintshire counties and are based in Wrexham. The aim of these posts is to support improved service provision, to reduce unnecessary patient hospital admissions and support early discharge home over a 24 hour period, providing both planned and unscheduled nursing care services to patients within Wrexham and Flintshire.

The hours of work are overnight from 10.30 pm 8.00 am and evenings from 6.00 pm 11.00 pm, these will include weekend working. These posts are not suitable for newly qualified staff and community experience is desirable.

Full induction into the posts will be supported, with opportunities for further career development.

  • Evidence of post registration study and training eg POVA, Child protection, intermediate life support
