About this role

This role will be based in centres in the London Borough of Merton , supporting learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to develop skills to enable them to live full and active lives.

The courses are offered at various locations in the borough of Merton current centres include Pollards Hill Library, the Leyton Road Centre and the Raynes Park Library. Subjects include Art and Crafts, basic IT skills, English, Maths, Cooking, Exercise and Drama, with independence and basic skills embedded in all classes. The courses on which we need the support are scheduled across the week. Courses will run term time only across the academic year. Working patterns will be negotiated with the successful applicant(s), and may include one or more days or perhaps simply one 2.5 hour session per week. Your role will be to support learners, you will be directed by the class tutor to provide support that enables learners to participate and achieve.
