Receptionist – 37.5 hours per week
The Coastal Sussex Integrated MSK Services (CSIMS) administration team is looking for a full-time Administrator to join their Reception team . The post will require a flexible approach as the successful candidate will be assisting in a number of areas throughout CSIMS.
The post holder will need to provide efficient reception/administrative support to the teams, and be used to dealing with the public and prioritising their work in a busy environment. Computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential. Training will be provided on the in-house databases and computer systems, although knowledge of SystmOne and Semahelix would be an advantage, as would previous experience in the NHS.
Main duties of the job
To run the reception desks for the CSIM services.
Reception sites include:
Physiotherapy department, Munro Unit, St Richards Hospital
Outpatient physiotherapy and MSK reception, Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital
Rheumatology/ Pain reception, Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital
This post will be required to rotate between each reception area.
This post does not have any staffing responsibilities.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Provide a reception service for patients attending the clinics
Book, amend and cancel patient appointments using the computer based booking system.
Use the telephone or written media to make or amend patient appointments and deal with enquiries from patients or staff.
Ensure patient information remains confidential and that patient records and the reception areas are secure to assure confidentiality.
Pull patient records and re-file them accurately. Archive records when appropriate
Check new referral details for completeness and accuracy using the NHS number and update and amend patient details as necessary.
Compare new referral details with any existing registration details to ensure accuracy and avoid duplication. Accurately input patient referral details on to the Trust computer system.
Take responsibility for liaising with professional colleagues to avoid unnecessary delays in the referral process.
Communicate clearly and effectively with other professionals, outside agencies and patients..
In times of staffing need, to work within the wider administrative team.
To carry out other duties which fall within the remit of this post as required by the Lead Reception Team Administrator.
To contribute to the development of administration services to improve efficiency and productivity
