Main duties of the job

As a senior manager, the post holder will work on their own initiative within the Putting Things Right (PTR) regulations ensuring that actions are initiated as required within relevant policies organising and prioritising the work of the patient safety and risk management teams adapting plans where necessary. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Develop and maintain effective relationships and operational links with staff of all levels and disciplines, motivating, persuading and influencing engagement in the wider governance agenda and ensuring that risks and quality issues identified through individual and aggregated incidents, complaints and claims investigations both inform and translate into positive service improvements.

Assist the Head of Governance to ensure that the learning from concerns is aligned with the organisations quality improvement activities, processes and priorities.

  • Ability to work at all levels across the organisation inlcuding presenting to Board level meetings
