Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide independent review, assessment, and initiation of treatments, ongoing management, liaising with the wider Respiratory, acute, community and palliative care teams. The post holder will manage a designated caseload of patients and organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time and resources. They will have a clear understanding of the management pathways for all lung cancer patients and be able to recognise and respond appropriately to situations arising from related conditions.

In Addition the post holder will be required to have the ability to use computer systems for data entry, spreadsheets and databases, checking of patients records, emailing, preparing teaching packages and documentation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Degree in a relevant area
  • Masters Degree/willing to undertake within an agreed timescale
