Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join our small but well established team to support all financial aspects of the healthcare income and expenditure contracts.

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual, with strong communication skills, with experience of working computers and computer accounting and financial reporting software, preferably within the NHS.

The ability to work in a face pace and ever changing environment is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work and develop effective relationships with colleagues and external partners is essential.

Essential criteria

  • AAT technician level qualification or equivalent, or proven experience and ability to work at that level
  • Desirable criteria

  • Good general standard of education
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Experience of working in a finance department in a large organisation
  • Experience of working with computers and computer accounting and financial reporting software
  • Detailed experience of working within an NHS contracting / income environment and with NHS practices and legislation
  • Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working within NHS policy and procedure, particularly with regards to the National Payments By Results

    Essential criteria

  • Ability to investigate, analyse and discuss routine and complicated queries with finance and non-finance staff, customers or suppliers.
  • Ability to design and manage complex spreadsheets for the management and control of non-contract income or expenditure
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.

    Essential criteria

  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures and ledger reconciliation controls, VAT, income, expenditure and account code structures.

    Desirable criteria

  • The ability to travel across sites and within the geographic area of North Wales
  • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route.
