Man Central Execution Trading:

The Central Trading team maximises the execution alpha within the investment process through market knowledge, trading specialisation, leveraging best in class execution technology and rigorous execution research and TCA.

The Role:

As Quantitative Trader, you will help manage our systematic quantitative strategies and develop a best-in-class trading platform for the firm. You will be part of a multi asset systematic trading team with a focus on trading Credit and Fixed Income instruments across US/Europe. Responsibilities:

  • Help managing our systematic trading strategies by maximising our execution platform and technology
  • Contribute to improvements across signal development, portfolio construction, risk management and trading
  • Drive development of our trading platform, infrastructure and technology
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to improve performance of our systematic strategies
  • Monitor live trading and respond to changing market conditions when necessary
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our counterparties.
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record and a degree with high mathematical, statistical and computing content e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Physics from a leading university
  • 5+ years of experience trading in a financial institution.
  • Expertise in a high level programming language such as Python, or R.
  • Knowledge and experience of trading Corporate bonds, CDS and Loans.
  • Experience of Trading platforms such as Market Axess, Tradeweb and Bloomberg.
  • Ability to think quickly & logically in very high-pressure situations.
  • Intellectually robust with a keenly analytic approach to problem solving
  • Hands-on attitude; willing to get involved with technology and projects across the firm
  • Strong inter-personal skills to enable communication across investment management teams and regions.
