The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic General Practice Veterinary Surgeon to join us at Zetland Vets, this role will feature two fixed days a week at one of our branches and the rest of the time spread between the hospital and other practices. We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications, the full-time role would be 8:30 am-6:30 pm, with one half-day off each week. This can be a full or part-time role, with the full-time role covering 4 full days per week, 08.30-18.30 with a half-day off. There is no requirement for Out of Hours cover or weekend work as we are a host practice for Vets Now Bristol Clinic.
The salary for this role is up to £45,000 depending on experience.
About Us
We have a lovely welcoming team across all 7 sites, run by an experienced team of Clinical Directors and Senior Veterinary Surgeons, many of which have been with us for over a decade. We have all the usual toys, including laparoscopy, ultrasound, dental x-ray, and an in-house lab. Being a large group, there is always a huge amount of support available to help talk through cases with colleagues with certificates in Surgery, Cardiology, Small Animal Medicine, Feline Medicine, and many other interests such as behaviour, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. We have 14 Veterinary Surgeons and a large group of Veterinary Nurses and support staff who are dedicated providing the highest standard of patient and client care.
Applicant Requirements
This position will be best suited to an experienced veterinary surgeon who is comfortable with routine consults, neutering, and the sole charge of a small branch practice. There will be no sole charge operating unless the candidate is comfortable doing this and we will support any further studying.
