About the role

Within the role you will need to able to adopt a coaching approach and have the personal skills to build trusting and authentic relationships with individuals in our community. You will work in a non-directive style help people to identify their aspirations and goals motivate them to make changes whilst also understanding and reducing any barriers to change

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will be able to:

*Coach people to take action on factors that influence health and wellbeing – including lifestyle relationships interests and home life

*Work alongside people to reduce health inequalities by understanding inequality and identify ways in which they can address and sustain changes into the future.

*Help build independence and resilience to meet future crisis.

*Understand and challenge behaviours raise awareness and build personal responsibility.

*Engage with our local communities and social networks but also link the people we support together and encouraging them to create self-led community/social groups.

Health & Wellbeing Coaches are required to hold a level 6 Advanced Diploma in Health Coaching qualification or equivalent and/or extensive experience of coaching individuals.

If you would like to apply for this role and do not have the above qualification and experience there is the opportunity for you to join the team as a Health & Wellbeing Officer with a requirement to complete an Advanced Diploma in Health Coaching as part of your role before progressing to the Health & Wellbeing Coach role.

We will be holding in-person interviews for this role at a venue in Penrith. This will include a group activity an emotional resilience session and a 1-1 interview.
