Main duties of the job

We are currently looking recruit to the position of Production Supervisor. The hours of work are flexible between the hours of 8am to 9pm which will include weekend work

The Sterile Services Department is registered with the MHRA and holds certificate ISO 13485:2016. We reprocess all reusable medical devices for Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital and external customers

You will need to have a can do flexible approach and work within all production areas of the department whilst carrying out the supervisory role. Additionally you will ideally have experience of working within an area which has Quality Management Systems in place.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • To undertake allocated tasks within the Sterile Services as identified by the Manager and in accordance with SSD Procedures and BCUHB Policies.
  • The post holder will maintain a continuity of service in accordance with the relevant procedures and instructions relating to decontamination and processing of medical devices.
  • Exchanges factual information with colleagues with tact and diplomacy to overcome barriers to understanding.
  • The post holder must recognise that Quality is an integral part of the service and therefore must continue to review and improve the service to meet the need of the local population.
