Main duties of the job

The Ward Clerk will give efficient clerical assistance to the Ward. The provision of an efficient clerical service is essential to ensure the speedy admission, discharge and transfer of patients. The post-holder is expected to prioritise and manage his/her own time and demonstrate a flexible attitude at all times.

By the nature of the duties, the Ward Clerk will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients and relatives with courtesy and discretion at all times

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post
