Main duties of the job

Applications are invited for a Support Medical Secretary, 37.5 hours. You will need to be highly motivated, flexible in approach and use your initiative to provide an excellent administration support to the department. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient service in a professional, sensitive and helpful manner. You will work as part of a team and will need to work closely with a range of staff.

This post is fixed term until 30th November 2022 to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • G.C.S.E Maths and English C and above or equivalent
  • NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
  • RSA /OCR level 2 or equivalent experience (must be a proficient user of Microsoft word
  • Desirable criteria

  • IT related qualification( CLAIT plus or ECDL).
  • NVQ Customer Service L2.
  • L2 Medical terminology
  • Experience

  • Knowledge of a range of administrative processes.
