Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced secretary for the Wrexham Acute Paediatrics Department. This is a full time, 9 month, fixed term post, which covers a range of administrative tasks to maintain a prompt and accurate secretarial service.

There is an opportunity that this post may be advertised as permanent in the future subject to the outcome of other secondments and interim posts within the division.

 You must have the ability to produce efficient and accurate typing and will therefore have previous secretarial experience. You will have a broad knowledge of medical terminology together with excellent keyboard and audio typing skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

The ability to prioritise your work and be highly organised is paramount to this post, as is excellent interpersonal communication skills, which includes a friendly telephone manner, whilst also providing a professional, sensitive manner and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
