Reporting into the Education Account Director the Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining the Account Development Plan to maximise cross sell of the Technology Solutions propositions. The role holder will have an agreed growth target for their customer base.

The Business Development Manager will be working on Account acquisition and will be responsible for maintaining a relationship with key customers. There will be a small element of maintaining existing accounts. This is a new role within the business and has an opportunity for supporting Sector Director in developing the Sector strategy.

This role plays a vital part within the business and will be the main drivers for business growth.

The role is homebased however travel to sites for team meetings will be required.

  • Adhering to Group, Divisional and contractual compliance requirement, and policies
  • Establishing relationships with customers and clearly communicating direction, vision, and long-term goals for their customer base
  • Managing and owning account development, retention strategy and win-themes for your customer(s)
  • Being aware of the overall P&L target and performance against your customer(s)
  • Having an up-to-date knowledge on all products and services and an awareness of the wider Capita Portfolio
  • Managing pipeline to ensure opportunities are acted on as required
  • Having an understanding of range of existing accounts and articulating it in account plans

  • Experience of large technology focused contracts
  • Experience in 3rd party engagement
  • Able to travel when required
  • Strong presentation skills, business skills and ability to work independently and with the team
