37 Hours Permanent Contract (No weekends or evenings/nights)

The Independent Living Service

The Independent Living Service delivers person centered support to individuals who reside in the B&NES, North Somerset and Bristol area. The service can range from installation of a personal alarm system right through to weekly visits where we seek to maximize income, arrange aids and adaptations, support with shopping and help plan medical appointments amongst other tasks.

What you’ll be doing

Youll be working with people to support them live independently within their own homes. Youll have your own customer portfolio based on a geographic area, allowing you to build effective working relationships with the customers and local community. This role does not involve personal care.

More about you

We are looking for proactive and enthusiastic people with a friendly personality. Experience in this sector is advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided. Due to the complex customers its essential to have strong resilience.

It is essential that you share our values and have a passion for learning, so people with different support needs receive a consistent service.

This role will involve travel meaning a driving license, access to transport with business insurance and ability to transport customers is essential.

You will need to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which we will do for you when you start.

You will be able to work flexibly, based on our customers needs. This includes working from home where needed.

You will be able to confidently promote our services to new customers, communities and other organisations.
