Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a clinical nurse leader, working with the Area Team to identify opportunities for service change and improvement to encourage and enable advancement and development of associated evidence based services. He/she will be instrumental in developing and implementing the governance and performance frameworks and in giving professional advice in relation to the development of services, within the Area. They will be responsible for the planning of care coordination and services within the community profile and with all stakeholders.

To develop the Community Nursing workforce/services that contribute to the delivery of the Area Services Plan, Health and Well Being Strategies, Community Nursing Strategy and other national strategies.

This post is fixed term for 3 months to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse
  • Masters Degree or equivalent experience in nursing or health related subject or working towards with completion in three years
  • Significant relevant experience in a managerial post
  • Teaching / assessing qualification or experience
  • Track record of significant continuous professional and management development
  • Leadership training or equivalent experience
  • Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate management qualification
  • Experience
