Wrexham CAMHS are currently looking to recruit a full time Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to work within our Unscheduled care pathway.

We are seeking a highly committed Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. We will consider applications from those with experience of mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions with children and young people with mental health problems and their families. Experience of working with young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions would also be advantageous.

In a period of exciting change and development, we are looking for experienced registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists to join our multidisciplinary team in Wrexham

We are a busy, friendly service providing a range of treatment approaches to children and young people including individual, group and family work. We also work in close collaboration with partner agencies and with our children, young people and their families who are involved in all areas of the service, this pathway operates a 7 day weeks service.

The successful candidate will have access to clinical supervision and individual line management to support your clinical work and personal wellbeing.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Relevant professional Qualification and Registration
  • Eligible to practice under the mental health measure Wales 2010. This includes registered mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapist, practising psychologist
  • Desirable criteria

  • Additional formal qualification in a recognised therapeutic approach
  • Specific, targeted, evidence based interventions e.g. EMDR
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Relevant post registration experience of working with children, young people and families in a health or social care environment or mental health setting
  • Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in a specific clinical role relating to CAMHS
  • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply should self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship by visiting Work in the UK .
