Sheriffs Highway Veterinary Hospital is a 1st Opinion and Referral practice based in Tyne and Wear who are looking to support a New Graduate Small Animal Vet. They have a Vet team of 14FTE (2 part-time), 14 RVN, 2 SVN, 1 Head Nurse and 1 Deputy Head Nurse with certificate holders in Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, Medicine and Cardiology.

Normal hours will be 41 hours per week over a 4-day week with a fixed day off. Most days 8.30am – 5.30pm or 9.00am – 6.00pm and 1 day working 10.30am – 7.30pm. 1:6 weekends (Saturday morning consults then ECC alongside a senior Vet), 1:6 Saturday mornings (3hrs), 2 days branch, 2 days hospital. No overtime is expected, but any voluntary overtime is rewarded with pay or time-off-in-lieu.

Sheriffs Highway Veterinary Hospital is a friendly and supportive practice with a wonderful team and great facilities and equipment including dental x-ray, advanced ultrasound, endoscopy, comprehensive hospital lab and labs at branch surgeries.

Busy 24-hour hospital taking referrals in surgery, medicine, cardiology and ECC. 4 branch surgery, 3 of them with surgery. New graduate can expect a mixture of branch surgery work (no sole charge) allowing slower-paced consulting and operating under the support of a Clinical Coach, plus exposure to hospital cases and advanced surgery and medicine.
