Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a competent clinical staff member who will provide effective leadership in support of the unit manager and deputy manager, supervising a team of nurses to ensure best standards of specialized care is provided. Work collaboratively and co-operatively with the unit manager and Matron to develop services provided for patients within the endoscopy unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for working towards and maintaining JAG status for the department working as part of the multi disciplinary team for gastroenterology.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Significant post registration experience in Endoscopy
  • Knowledge of JAG/GRS Processes
  • Completeion and evidence of clinical competency in endoscopy nursing
  • Knowledge of local policies/procedures and guidelines

  • Degree in relevant clinical/professional subject
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Experience of undertaking audit work, research and standard setting
