Inclusion and Attendance Specialist

Job description

We are looking to recruit 7 Inclusion and Attendance Specialists to compliment and add capacity to the existing team (6 roles are permanent and 1 is to cover a maternity leave until December 22 (temporary post). We are looking for a mixture of full time and part time positions and are open to discussions about flexible working arrangements. All positions will be 52 weeks with a generous annual leave entitlement. 

As Inclusion and Attendance specialist, you will provide advice, guidance, support and direction to schools, partners, caseworkers, and keyworkers. You will carry out casework, meeting with parents and children to advise them of appropriate next steps for improving attendance and engaging with education. You will also support schools to access appropriate interventions.

If you have experience of supporting a child or young person to engage with their education and supporting schools in this work, then this is a great job opportunity for you. 

As data informs practice across the service, you will be skilled in reading and interpreting data, be a great communicator, self motivated and manage your own case work.
