We are looking for forward thinking, enthusiastic, organised and motivated individuals to join our dynamic and motivated Pharmacy team HMP Berwyn.

The role of the Pharmacy technician is a varied, interesting and continuously developing role, which is why we are offering this opportunity to explore this innovative career in a rotational training programme. You will gain experience in a Prison setting dispensing for In-patients and distributing medication for wing stock.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • 4 GCSE A-C including Maths, English and Science
  • Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of academic study and continuing professional development after leaving school. NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services
  • Experience

    Desirable criteria

  • Experience working within hospital and/or community pharmacy or within the NHS
  • Aptitude and Abilities

    Essential criteria

  • Ability to work in team, able to organise self, good IT skills, health and safety awareness

  • Ability to speak Welsh Knowledge of pharmacy services and role of pharmacy technician
