Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within the Emergency Quadrant ( EQ) in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. This is 18.75 hours per week 12 fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave. 

This role will involve working as part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment to patients who present to the EQ. You will work to a discharge to recover and assess model in order to reduce the risks of hospital-related deconditioning and maximise independence with this patient cohort from the EQ.

You will be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills in treating people with acute health needs as well as having the ability to work autonomously and as part of team. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of this busy service. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
