This is an exciting opportunity for a fixed term contract for an experienced Allied Health Professional (including dietitian, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist) or Adult Nurse. The applicant would ideally have some experience of working with people with Long COVID/Post-COVID 19 syndrome, or other related long term conditions in an outpatient community setting that share features for example fatigue; neurocognitive conditions involving memory, attention, concentration, word finding and speech difficulties; disturbance to nutrition; breathlessness; pain. All of which impact on a person’s ability to carry out their day-to-day tasks.Â
This role would suit an experienced Band 6 looking for Band 7 experience. It could be a part-time split with an existing role or full time.
The City & Hackney COVID Rehabilitation (CoRe) service offers assessment and treatment within the relevant discipline scope of practice to individuals with symptoms relating to Long COVID/Post-COVID 19 syndrome (e.g. fatigue, brain fog, gastrointestinal symptoms affecting nutrition, pain, neurological symptoms, cardiorespiratory symptoms).
The service has been well received by patients and places a strong emphasis on individualised and flexible approaches to treatment and support.Â
The service is currently provided Monday to Friday. Open to part-time working.
