Main duties of the job

To assist and support the School Nursing team in the delivery of a public health service to school age children.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, often being first point of contact for families making contact with the service.

You must be able to travel between schools and homes both within towns and rural areas in a timely manner. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Good standard of secondary education e.g. min of C grade in English and Maths
  • Working towards QCF level 3 or equivalent in a child related subject
  • Community or health related working experience
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written

  • Working knowledge of basic IT skills.
