An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to provide an accurate, confidential and supportive administration service to the department.

Will provide administration assistance to the Trauma and Orthopaedic On-Call Team at weekends and Bank Holidays.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • Good standard of general education – GCSE maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent. NVQ level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards. L2 RSA/OCR or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of administrative processes.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing. Excellent Customer Service skills Flexible and adaptable to changing service demands. Ability to meet deadlines. Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work to established policies, service level agreements and key performance indicators. Evidence of continual personal development. Knowledge of secretarial role including progress chasing.
  • Good team working ethic. Approachable/friendly. Confident manner. Reliable. Develops own practice through reflection and learning. Empathetic.
  • Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post.
  • Desirable criteria

  • IT related qualification (CLAIT plus or ECDL). NVQ Customer Service L2. L2 Medical terminology. Statutory and Mandatory training as per Health Board policy.
  • Experience of working in office environment. Experience of working within the NHS.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft office applications. Experience of using patient administration systems Experience of organising meetings/activity
