Main duties of the job
We perform an extensive range of respiratory physiology tests, have a large sleep service, and a large CPET service currently performing 366 test per year (before Covid) with agreed plans for expansion. The post holder will be required to assist in the delivery of lung function tests, provocation tests, respiratory muscle investigations and other investigations, as well as contributing to the further development of the CPET service, and will work towards completion of the ARTP practitioner level III qualification and becoming proficient in performing CPET.
The successful applicant must be able to work using their own initiative as well as be a team player, have good communication skills combined with a pleasant outgoing manner. Computer knowledge is essential including all windows applications (Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel) and working with databases and specialist software.
Working closely with technical, medical and administrative staff, you will ensure patient confidentiality, comfort and safety at all times.
