Job Summary:

Are you someone who is caring, compassionate, has integrity and respect for others and is passionate about Harm Reduction? Would you like to be part of rebuilding lives?

We are looking for someone to lead the team and coordinate the service provision at our Niddry Street Wellbeing Centre. We provide care and support at our drop-in centre to people who are impacted by homelessness, substance use, trauma, isolation, exclusion, or health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure the smooth day to day running of the activities and services provided at Niddry Street.

Work in partnership with other aspects of The Salvation Army as well as statutory and voluntary sector services for housing, health, finance, and substance use (including needle exchange and naloxone training and distribution). To support growth and change for those who come to us for help.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience of leading and managing staff including recruitment, development, and performance management.
  • Significant experience of working with adults in a supportive setting.
  • SVQ Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification in a related field or the willingness to work towards this.
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to homelessness, employment, health and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Harm Reduction programmes.
  • Ability to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army with regard to delivering services to vulnerable people without discrimination.
