Main duties of the job

Your role will involve undertaking duties in the dispensary, at ward level supporting the ward based pharmacy teams and within our Production Unit. Full training will be provided in all these areas.

We are committed to CPD for all our staff and aim to give the support necessary to ensure your individual needs are met. The role of the pharmacy technician is very much valued in the department and there will be internal and external training opportunities to enable you to develop within the role.

Applicants should be eligible to register at interview and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council on their start date. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Willing to undertake medicines management training

  • Participate in the provision of general extended hours pharmacy services and as necessary
  • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route.
