About the project

The Early Careers Co-ordinator will be responsible for developing our Early Careers pre-apprenticeship program at West Suffolk College and Milton Keynes College.

This program will provide a collaborative approach to meeting future workforce skills by integrating sponsored academic modules and broad workplace programmes. These programmes will be a key enabler to delivering productivity and efficiency improvement across the Alliances.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the skills development programme in partnership with West Suffolk College and Milton Keynes College supporting the collective priorities of the Alliance partners

• Integrating sponsorship programmes that provide academic knowledge with workplace apprentices in a model that spans all Alliance parties and strategic supply chain framework

• Developing the sponsorship with West Suffolk College and Milton Keynes College to an agreed budget

• Developing key stakeholder relationships with local schools, businesses, and councils to promote the programmes to our target market

• Effective recruitment of students.

• Develop pathways into our organisations through traineeships, apprenticeships and graduate apprenticeships

Candidate Specification

• Experience of project management

• Experience of working in the Utilities sector

• Experience of working alone – self-starting approach to work

• Current knowledge and experience of the apprenticeship process and funding

• Experience of working with learning providers

• Must be flexible, demonstrate people management experience

• Able to manage pressure and meet strict deadlines,

• Excellent team player

• Project management skills combined with the ability to self-motivate, initiate and drive this exciting opportunity forward

• Confidence, drive and diplomacy when working with stakeholders

• Ability to work both in a busy office, colleges and working sites

• IT/office skills are essential as is being prepared to work as part of a team. Reliable, flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
