IT Project Manager – Hybrid Role – circa 50k + benefits

Mainly home based but travel to the office will be required – due to location own transport is essential

Our client provides the support services that enable our Armed Forces to prepare for the modern battlefield by maintaining and delivering safe infrastructure and support services that promote sustainable and effective military training.

They have a need to strengthen their IT department with an experienced Project Manager who has previous experience of delivering IT software development projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage projects of varying size and complexity throughout the full life cycle

Provide documentation for the IT Portfolio

Analyse, document and prioritise requirements that enable a chosen solution to be specified, developed, evaluated and tested

Facilitate the management of projects involving IT by staff outside of the IT Project Office, assisting with all aspects of the IT Project Management process.

Ideal Person will have:

Knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques is essential

Relevant certification in Project Management eg Prince 2, PMP.

Excellent planning and organisation skills

Excellent Stakeholder management skills

Strong communicator, who is comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical members of staff at all levels of the organisation

Experience of Microsoft Project

Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server as an Application Lifecycle Management tool (Desirable)

ISEB Certificate in Requirements Engineering (Desirable)

Respond effectively to conflicting work demands

Experience of working with ITIL processes.

Previous experience of delivering other non-software IT projects (eg Large scale hardware rollouts) (desirable)
