Covering the full project lifecycle from Feasibility through to Decommissioning, we are looking for Process Safety Engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas; Nuclear; Power Generation and Gas Networks Sectors.

As a client facing, Senior Engineer, your responsibilities will typically involve:

• Responsibility for Design Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) discipline technical safety input for projects and/or proposals; including the preparation and/or checking of engineering deliverables

• Ensuring all applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures are complied with

• Undertaking consequence modelling, preparing risk assessments, designs and equipment specifications for fire and gas detection systems and active and passive fire protection systems.

• Reviewing supplier’s quotations and preparing technical bid assessments

• Preparing scopes of work and enquiry requisitions for third party consultants

• Mentoring and assisting graduates and less experienced engineers

About You…

As an experienced Design HSE engineer, you will have:

• Significant engineering experience in the Oil & Gas, Nuclear and/or Water sectors

• Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards

• Ideally an Honours Degree or better in chemical engineering (or similar subject) with experience of process safety management activities.

• Chartered Engineer and Membership of the IChemE, or very close to achieving this.

• Substantial experience of producing process safety deliverables within a design project environment

• Competence in hazardous area classification

• Experience of safety and environmental hazard identification, risk assessments for major hazard sites, fire and gas detection systems and fire protection systems.

• Mobility to travel
