IT Helpdesk Apprentice – Level 3 ICT Technician Apprenticeship

Come and kickstart your career in IT with our amazing helpdesk team, learning 1^st and 2^nd line support in this incredible apprenticeship opportunity.

Responsibilities

You will start your IT career in a team which has already successfully trained 3 Helpdesk apprentices, so firstly, you’re in good hands! In conjunction with our training provider, we’ll slowly build up your IT knowledge and confidence, so you can manage 1^st line and eventually 2^nd line problems face to face or over the phone with our internal customers. You will learn about issues relating to software, hardware and peripherals and contribute to the ever-developing knowledge in the team. Ultimately your goal will be to achieve the apprenticeship and hopefully join us as a permanent member of the team.

Requirements

We’d love you to have an active interest in IT as a career. You’ll be curious about how Windows works an be excited by new technologies. You’ll be interested about how tablets and printers actually function and be hungry to learn about system administration. Maybe you’ve already built your own PC. You will be someone who enjoys talking to people about technology and usually be the first in line to help someone with their technical issues. You will be well organised and can demonstrate the usefulness of “shared knowledge”. You will also need to have achieved a level 4 in GCSE Maths and English or be willing to study an equivalent as part of the apprenticeship.
