About the role

Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting for Site Engineers, working on HS2 based at our Cappers Lane site

Working as part of our Sublot 8 team and depending on your experience, you will be working on major earthworks, drainage, roads or structures including bridges and viaducts.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contributing to the production of relevant permits for works to begin
  • Identifying hazards and contributing to the development of Safe System of Works
  • Reading information from drawings, schedules and specification
  • Completing Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records such as daily diary, photographs, records of site discussions
  • Setting out and producing surveys
  • Producing accurate daily diary of resources, including labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and outputs
  • Producing weekly measures, take offs and schedule materials accurately
  • Regularly liaising with the client and subcontractors
  • Liaising with other Sections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow of work
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Previous work experience as a Site Engineer
  • A formal qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience working on projects in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is desirable but not essential
