Role Purpose

We are looking for a Licensing Officer to ensure that our Licensing team continues to deliver an excellent licensing service. The Licensing Service works closely with the licensed trades in the Borders to enable their success while contributing to the wellbeing of Borders people at the same time. The postholder will collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders such as applicants, licence holders, objectors, legal agents, elected members and internal and external colleagues. They will also require to apply their interpretative skills to both licensing legislation and local policies to process applications.

HNC in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or relevant professional discipline, Continuing professional development covering a range of licensing work.
