About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team to work in Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

Following the recent announcement for Notice to Proceed, Balfour Beatty Vinci will commence the full detailed design and construction of both schemes. Balfour Beattys in-depth expertise of delivering critical major infrastructure across the world will combine and complement VINCIs global capability in high speed rail and expertise in UK rail infrastructure projects.

Preparatory works are due to start imminently with main construction to commence in earnest in the second quarter of 2021. All sites will be fully compliant with UK Government guidance for safe working practices in relation to social distancing.

With this in mind we are preparing to mobilise people across the Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors across the Construction Industry working on Infrastructure Projects ideally from a contractor/delivery background.

What you’ll be doing

We are inviting people to register their interest for positions across the board within Quantity Surveying at all levels from an Infrastructure/Contractor background.

  • Managing Quantity Surveyor
  • Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Who we’re looking for

    For Quantity Surveyors at all levels we are looking for those that have worked on Infrastructure Projects from a Contractor background.

    The following qualifications are essential:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
  • Membership of RICS, CICES or CIOB (or working towards)
  • NEC3 experience

    Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.

    We are building the West Midlands section of HS2’s Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
