Man
Purpose of Role:
Responsible for covering the Hong Kong Trading desks via an early shift
Responsible for making sure that all trades booked by the AHL/GLG/Numeric fund managers are true and accurate.
Control the cancel and amend process for all AHL/GLG/Numeric trading desks.
Key involvement in improvements made to the AHL/GLG/Numeric trade booking systems.
The Exchange traded cash Confirmations provides Operational Services to the AHL, GLG & Numeric Fund managers. Covering all securities across all markets.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring of Unconfirmed Equity and Fixed Income cash trades
Investigating and, where possible clearing all nostro breaks in Securities transactions.
Improving STP rates with brokers
Trade amendments, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, P&L, and exposures in the risk management systems.
Act as a central point of contact for all broker queries
Act as a subject matter expert for all Equity, Bond across Man Group
Ensure all functions performed by the Equity, Bond team are in-line with Man Groups growth or contraction
Represent the Equity, Bond Confirmations across Man Group
To continually review and improve the working practices/processes of the team. Where possible automate the end to end processes
Manage queries from both internal and external clients in an efficient and timely manner
Liaising with global Tech & Ops counterparts on a variety of strategic initiatives to provide expertise for processes & systems, assist in testing technology rollouts, and driving enhancements to existing systems & processes
Implementation & execution of processes within a control infrastructure that mitigates operational risk & allows the business to operate in a controlled environment.
Collating & presenting key governance metrics to the business on a regular basis
To work alongside other Ops teams to provide cover/product knowledge (this will happen over time as the team becomes fully established)
Ensure all processes meet the minimum Audit and Internal Control framework
Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory data requirements and ensure impacts are managed appropriately
Strong analytical skills to understand a broad set of products and complex end-to-end workflows. Detail-oriented with a control mind set
Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills to be able to partner with Front Office, Tech, and Operations teams globally
Key Skills & Experience:
Bachelors Degree
3-5 years of relevant experience
Good excel and Microsoft skills
Experience but not essential knowledge of (Bloomberg and Salerio, CTM, Oasys, Alert,)
