Balfour Beatty VINCI has an opportunity for a Recruiter to join our team in Birmingham .

As Recruiter, you will be part of the recruitment team that leaves a lasting legacy as part of the biggest infrastructure project in Europe.

HS2 is going to change the face of the West Midlands and as main works contractor BBV are making this happen.

Role Purpose:

Working as part of the recruitment team, you individual will be responsible for directly approaching and communicating with the candidate market. You will work closely with the wider recruitment team to support candidate attraction, build talent pools and provide suitable candidates for shortlisting.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Balfour Beatty VINCI, to confidently reach out to candidates to talk about our culture, our vacancies and our projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external candidates to pipeline talent and manage candidate applications.
  • Use recruitment search tools to search for and identify the top talent.
  • Use recruitment tools to better understand the local market, providing valuable insights and produce market mapping results.
  • Work closely with the recruitment team and hiring managers to understand requirements for short and long-term resourcing demand.
  • Review and write job adverts.
  • Shortlist applications and support interview coordination.
  • Assist the recruitment team with other generalist activities and projects as required.
  • Maintain the Applicant Tracking System, ensuring high quality data integrity.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working as a Resourcer or Recruiter, ideally within a construction or civil engineering environment.
  • Background in high volume recruitment.

    Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.

    We are building the West Midlands section of HS2’s Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
