To assist with procurement activities.

To support Procurement Managersand Senior Buyersin theprocurement of workswhich deliver customer priorities and ensure value is maximised.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the procurement teams withtendering, market analysis, supplier selection,riskand opportunity assessments, forecastingrequirements.
  • Carryingout supplier evaluations and commercial checks for suppliers and past performance.
  • Facilitate an efficient and compliant process for all material and plant procurement.
  • Support the development of procurement plans and packaging strategies.
  • Assist in the development of efficient value-added reports.
  • Focus on exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of customer requirements, technical competence, functional knowledgeand process efficiency.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Ability to deconstruct contractual information into smaller categories in order to draw conclusions.
  • Ability to understand the commercial aspects and its impacts.
  • A measured approach to decision making and the ability to ensure best value procurement
  • Ability to focus on the targets and work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic financial and accounting principles in order to have sound judgment when making decisions
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of effective negotiation skills with both internal and external customers

    Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.

    We are building the West Midlands section of HS2’s Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
